US President Donald Trump said on Friday that Iran is, in his words, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, stressing that Tehran will never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion of the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Trump said US forces are currently working to ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon.
Trump said the United States must never forget what he described as the “moment of evil” on September 11, adding that the country is facing a new test today and has demonstrated its ability to successfully overcome it.
