An official welcoming ceremony took place at Marka Airport in Amman on Monday for Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, marking the beginning of his official visit to Jordan, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein welcomed the Iraqi premier. The ceremony included the playing of the Iraqi and Jordanian national anthems, as well as an inspection of the honor guard.
Al-Zaidi is expected to hold talks with King Abdullah II on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation and partnership to address shared challenges. He will also join his Jordanian counterpart in chairing an expanded meeting of the two countries’ delegations and oversee the signing of several memoranda of understanding designed to promote economic cooperation, deepen integration, and advance shared interests between Iraq and Jordan.
