The disbursement of November pension payments in Iraq remained pending on Sunday evening, despite the National Retirement Authority’s announcement that salary-processing procedures had been completed, a well-informed source said.
The source attributed the delay to limited financial liquidity and the absence of the required funding notification, noting that these factors could push the payment schedule to Monday.
He explained that transferring the pension entitlements to beneficiaries remains conditional on receiving the funding authorization and completing the necessary financial and administrative formalities.
Earlier expectations had pointed to Sunday as the likely payment date, following preparations by the relevant authorities to finalize the technical and administrative requirements. However, the payments had yet to be released by Sunday evening.
