Iraqi President Nizar Amedi on Saturday condemned the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, stressing that Baghdad rejects any attempt to use Iraqi territory or airspace as a launchpad for attacks against neighboring countries.

Amedi said safeguarding Iraq’s sovereignty and maintaining strong relations with its regional surroundings remain the responsibility of the state and its constitutional institutions. He also expressed support for the measures taken by the government following the attacks.

The president called for investigations to be completed and for legal action to be taken against anyone found responsible or involved, with the aim of preventing similar incidents from happening again.

He further emphasized Iraq’s commitment to maintaining relations with Saudi Arabia and other neighboring states, while supporting regional security and stability and protecting the interests of the region’s peoples.
