Baghdad Operations Command revealed on Monday the results of its security activities during October, reporting the arrest of 277 individuals, including 89 foreign nationals, and the seizure of 549 vehicles for breaching traffic regulations.

In a statement, the command explained that units from the External Checkpoints Directorate operating across the Karkh and Rusafa districts carried out the arrests under various legal provisions. The operations also resulted in the confiscation of weapons, ammunition and unlicensed materials.

The command said the measures are part of broader efforts to tighten security across the capital, pursue violators, maintain stability and ensure the enforcement of the law throughout Baghdad.
