Prime Minister Ali Al-Zeidi received Kaldo Ramzi Oghna, head of the Suyana Christian Parliamentary Bloc, along with several members of the bloc on Wednesday to discuss political and economic developments in Iraq.
The meeting focused on the remaining steps toward completing the formation of the government, in addition to a number of issues of mutual concern.
The talks also highlighted the potential role of Iraqi Christian professionals living abroad and ways to benefit from their expertise, capabilities and resources in supporting reconstruction and development projects.
Both sides stressed the importance of greater involvement by Iraqis abroad, particularly skilled professionals, in national reconstruction efforts and the country’s development plans.
