Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zeidi met with a delegation from the Reconstruction and Development bloc, headed by Bahaa Al-Araji, to discuss speeding up the approval of priority legislation in parliament.

During the meeting, Al-Zeidi highlighted the bloc’s role as the largest parliamentary group, noting that 44 bills require particular attention, including legislation concerning the Food and Drug Authority, the Popular Mobilization Forces and internal oversight.

The prime minister stressed the need for legislation that supports the country’s reconstruction efforts and advances development across state institutions.
