Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi issued an order on Monday ending Hamid Al-Shatri’s assignment as head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service.
An official document stated that the decision was made under Al-Zaidi’s directives, without naming a successor to lead the agency.
Al-Shatri was appointed to the position in November 2024, during the tenure of former Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.
