Sadrist movement leader Muqtada al-Sadr called on his supporters to exercise restraint and avoid falling for provocations, warning that unnamed parties may be seeking to stir unrest to divert attention from their misconduct.

Al-Sadr stressed the need to preserve Iraq’s unity and security and refrain from supporting corrupt or aggressive groups seeking to harm the country. He urged his followers not to be drawn into such attempts and to allow those responsible for corruption to face the consequences of their actions
