Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, has called for accelerating public service projects and strengthening reconstruction and housing efforts, stressing the importance of improving municipal and urban services to better address citizens’ needs.
In a statement, the coalition’s media office said al-Maliki received Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities Ribaz Mohammed Abdullah Hamlan at his office and congratulated him on securing the confidence of the Council of Representatives, wishing him success in his new position.
The meeting highlighted the need to improve municipal and housing services, expedite project implementation, and overcome challenges facing the construction and housing sectors, with the aim of enhancing public services and responding to citizens’ demands.
For his part, Hamlan thanked al-Maliki and affirmed the ministry’s commitment to improving its performance and continuing construction and service projects in accordance with current priorities and public expectations.
