Iraqi Parliament Speaker Heibat Al-Halbousi held a telephone conversation on Thursday with Khalida Boughedach, President of Algeria’s People’s National Assembly, to discuss strengthening parliamentary cooperation and advancing bilateral relations between Iraq and Algeria.
According to a statement issued by the Speaker’s media office, the talks addressed opportunities to expand coordination between the two legislative institutions and stressed the need to align positions and combine efforts on issues of mutual interest to both countries.
