The General Directorate for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances announced that security forces had seized 50 kilograms of Captagon pills and arrested a suspected drug trafficker during an operation in the Kurdistan Region.
According to the directorate, the operation was conducted by anti-narcotics teams in Nineveh in cooperation with the Sulaymaniyah Anti-Narcotics Directorate, as part of joint efforts to track down individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.
The directorate highlighted that the operation reflected effective security cooperation and intelligence sharing between the two units, supporting ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and curb the spread of narcotics.
