Explosions were reported across several parts of Baghdad on Tuesday, stretching from the city center to southern districts, as security forces heightened their alert and warning sirens sounded inside the US Embassy in the Green Zone.
Security Media Cell chief Saad Maan confirmed that the blasts resulted from the interception of an unidentified drone near the Green Zone.
Eyewitnesses reported that debris from the drone fell in several locations, including near the Abdul Mohsen Al-Kadhimi checkpoint, in Karrada, and around the Green Zone.
