Sports welcomed the national veterans team after their triumph in the Gulf Championship, held in Qatar’s capital, Doha, where they secured the title with a victory over Saudi Arabia in the final.
The reception was attended by Mowaffaq Abdul Wahab, Director General of the Ministry’s Department of Physical Education and Sports, who conveyed Minister Safaa Al-Kinani’s congratulations to the players. He praised their impressive performance and achievement, which brought the championship title to Iraq and further strengthened the country’s presence in regional sports.
