Egypt's Supreme Council for Media Regulation announced on Wednesday a ban preventing Hossam Hassan, head coach of the national senior football team, from appearing on any media outlet in the country.
The council also decided to maintain the existing prohibition on media appearances by Dan Adam, Hassan's former wife, across all media platforms.
The move follows a formal complaint submitted by Hassan's lawyers to the Public Prosecutor, accusing his former wife of being married to two men simultaneously.
Egyptian media reports indicate that the case dates back to August 20, 2015, when an Islamic customary marriage contract was reportedly concluded between Hossam Hassan and Dina Mostafa in the presence of two witnesses, including the coach's brother, Ibrahim Hassan.
