The Iraqi government has initiated an urgent review of the academic certificates held by officials occupying special-grade positions across state institutions, in a move aimed at verifying the qualifications and educational documents recorded in their official employment files.
According to available information, a Diwani Order has been circulated on an urgent basis to ministries, government authorities and entities not affiliated with any ministry. The directive requires the verification of primary, intermediate and preparatory school certificates belonging to covered officials, including advisers, deputy ministers and directors general.
The order instructs the relevant institutions to obtain official confirmations from the schools, institutes and educational bodies that issued the certificates, complete the required verification procedures and submit all supporting documentation to the Ministry of Education without delay.
The initiative is part of a wider effort to review the academic qualifications and administrative records of senior government officials, ensuring that their documented credentials meet the legal and administrative requirements for holding high-ranking public positions.
