oil producer in the Kurdistan Region, is assessing the possibility of using Syrian territory as a transit route for exporting Iraqi oil to international markets, aiming to secure higher revenues than those available in the domestic market.
DNO Chief Executive Officer Musavfar Rahmani said new opportunities have emerged to transport Iraqi oil to the Mediterranean Sea through Syria, a route that had previously been closed. He noted that the company is evaluating the feasibility of this option to capitalize on available marketing opportunities and sell oil at prices above current market levels.
