Iraq’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has continued preparations for a special celebration marking Iraqi Sovereignty Day, during a meeting chaired by Fadel Naji, Director General of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, with representatives of the ministry’s relevant departments and sections in attendance.
The meeting focused on the event’s organizational and technical arrangements, including the allocation of responsibilities among participating bodies and the follow-up of logistical requirements to ensure the celebration is held according to the planned program.
Naji said the event forms part of the ministry’s program for commemorating national occasions, noting that Sovereignty Day carries important national significance associated with independence, a sense of belonging and pride in Iraqi identity.
The celebration is set to feature a range of youth, sports and artistic activities, along with a documentary highlighting key milestones in Iraq’s sovereignty, aiming to emphasize the importance of the occasion and promote national awareness among young people.
