Iraqi Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Safaa Al-Kinani welcomed the Iraqi Paralympic Committee delegation at Baghdad International Airport following its return from the 2026 Asian Para Games in Nagoya, Japan, where Iraqi athletes secured medals and delivered notable performances.
Al-Kinani expressed pride in the athletes’ achievements, commending their determination, resilience and ability to overcome challenges. He said their performance was a source of national pride and strengthened Iraq’s presence in Asian sporting competitions.
The minister stressed the importance of continuing to support Paralympic sports and providing athletes with the resources and facilities necessary to improve their performance and achieve further success in upcoming competitions. He reaffirmed the importance of ensuring that Iraqi athletes continue to represent their country with distinction at regional and international events.
