The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today, Friday, that vessels carrying a second Marine Expeditionary Unit are currently operating in the Middle East region. In a statement released today, CENTCOM clarified that the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and its accompanying 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are conducting operations in the Middle East as part of a previously scheduled deployment.
