The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned an Iranian attack involving a drone, confirming that its air defense systems successfully intercepted the aircraft over the country’s territorial waters.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the incident represents a serious escalation and an unacceptable act of aggression, holding Iran fully responsible for the attack and its potential consequences.
The ministry stressed that such actions pose a direct threat to the UAE’s security, stability and territorial integrity and violate the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Abu Dhabi reaffirmed its full and legitimate right to take necessary measures in response to any attacks, emphasizing that protecting its sovereignty, national security, territory, citizens, residents and visitors remains a top priority, in accordance with international law
