Iran's Foreign Ministry confirmed Friday the postponement of a scheduled meeting in Switzerland, and flatly denied media reports about closing the strategic Strait of Hormuz. The ministry explained that the electronic signing of the memorandum of understanding made the Switzerland meeting non-urgent, causing the planned Friday session's postponement. It added that a negotiation meeting is planned for the coming days, with ongoing consultations via mediators to commence the next phase of talks towards a final agreement. The start of these final agreement negotiations, it noted, is conditional on implementing MOU clauses 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11.
