Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation has extended the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh for an additional 24 hours following more than four attacks attributed to the Houthis.

In a statement, the authority said the extension is intended to allow the completion of necessary procedures to verify the safety of airport facilities and ensure their operational readiness, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The authority had previously reported that one resident was killed and 11 others were injured in an attack targeting the airport, as assessments and safety measures continue.
