Russia’s Defense Ministry announced that its forces launched a new wave of strikes targeting Ukrainian industrial sites, port infrastructure and a strategic transportation facility in Odesa.
Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, meanwhile, said its air defenses intercepted eight missiles and more than 100 Russian drones. It reported that the attacks killed three civilians and injured 15 others in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
At the same time, Russia’s TASS news agency quoted the Defense Ministry as saying that its air-defense systems destroyed 230 Ukrainian drones overnight during attacks on several Russian regions.
The exchange of strikes comes amid a sharp escalation in aerial warfare, as Kyiv increasingly relies on drones to target critical facilities inside Russia, while Moscow says its air defenses successfully thwarted the attacks and prevented major damage.
