Mastercard has recognized International Smart Card (Qi Card) as part of its 2026 Mastercard Circle of Honor program, acknowledging the Iraqi company’s efforts to strengthen digital security and improve its ability to combat financial fraud.
According to Mastercard’s official website, the recognition follows Qi Card’s collaboration with Mastercard to use threat intelligence technologies to identify suspicious card-testing activities and detect potential risks targeting digital payment systems at an early stage.
During a six-month trial, the technology flagged 3,246 transactions associated with card testing and identified 1,377 high-risk primary account numbers, with no false positives recorded throughout the trial period.
The recognition highlights the growing importance of advanced technological solutions in securing digital financial transactions, reducing online fraud and providing users with a safer electronic payment environment.
