The Iraqi government has recovered money, properties and assets worth more than 1.359 trillion dinars, or over $1 billion, as part of its ongoing anti-corruption campaign.
Government spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi said the Integrity Commission had received more than 26,000 corruption reports, stressing that legal and institutional measures would continue to recover public funds and prosecute those involved.
He added that digital transformation and automation are key tools for reducing corruption, extortion and excessive human intervention
