The Iraqi government has dismissed reports suggesting it is seeking to obtain 16 trillion dinars in loans from five countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, China, Germany and France, to address the budget deficit.

Government spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi stressed that the claims were unfounded, emphasizing that Iraq's financial strategy is based on domestic resources, particularly oil export revenues, to finance government expenditure and meet its obligations without relying on foreign borrowing.
