Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported that two tankers caught fire and stopped south of the Strait of Hormuz, marking the fourth incident of its kind announced by the force in four days.

The IRGC did not disclose the timing of the incident or the identities of the two vessels, claiming that they had struck Iranian mines.

Meanwhile, maritime tracking company Kpler reported that at least 18 vessels had been targeted in attacks over the past two weeks, pointing to growing security threats and increasing risks to maritime navigation in the region.
