political affairs assistant to the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said US President Donald Trump is facing mounting domestic pressure over the consequences of the war with Iran, arguing that the continued state of “neither war nor peace” carries economic and political costs for both sides.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the official said the naval blockade is imposing significant economic burdens on the United States. He added that disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz have affected financial and energy markets, increasing pressure on the US economy.

The official claimed that Trump is experiencing unprecedented domestic pressure over the war’s repercussions. He also stressed that Iran remains prepared to respond to any new military action against it, warning that further escalation would be met with what he described as a tougher and more decisive Iranian response.
