Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that Tehran and Muscat will sign an agreement next Monday concerning the regulation of a joint navigation route through the Strait of Hormuz.

Pezeshkian said the two countries will submit the agreement’s main provisions and navigation-related details to the International Maritime Organization.

Separately, the Financial Times reported that the United States has begun establishing designated time windows for providing air protection to oil tankers as they transit the Strait of Hormuz.
