Gold and U.S. dollar prices moved higher in Iraq’s local markets on Sunday, with the international price of gold reaching approximately $4,454 per ounce.
According to local market trading, the price of one mithqal of 21-karat gold stood at around 955,000 Iraqi dinars, while 18-karat gold reached approximately 820,000 dinars. The price of 22-karat gold was close to 1 million dinars, while 24-karat gold reached about 1.091 million dinars.
The dollar was traded at around 154,000 dinars in the Kurdistan Region, while the rate in Baghdad stood at approximately 154,050 dinars.
