The George Lucas Museum of Narrative Art welcomed visitors in Los Angeles on September 22, marking the completion of more than a decade of planning and construction that had drawn attention from art and cinema enthusiasts worldwide.
The new institution features more than 30 exhibition galleries, a sculpture garden and 13 acres of landscaped green space, along with a free research library among its facilities.
Created through the collaboration of George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the museum has transformed a former parking lot at Exposition Park into a cultural destination offering a broader perspective on the types of art and storytelling that can be presented within a museum setting
