The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) unveiled the official brand identity for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup on Friday, with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan set to host the tournament. The campaign adopts the slogan “You Are the Makers of the Game’s Future,” encouraging emerging football talents to shape their own stories and leave a lasting mark on the sport.
According to the Azerbaijani news agency, the new identity places young footballers and their supporters at the centre of the competition, highlighting their role in the development of the game and the future of international football.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström said representing their national teams at a World Cup is a significant achievement for young players and an experience they will carry with pride throughout their careers. He noted that the tournament also allows them to explore different playing styles, adapt to unfamiliar environments and compete against leading players of their generation.
The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) described the tournament as an opportunity for the next generation of football stars to demonstrate their abilities and pursue major achievements. It added that the official slogan reflects the ambitions of young players and the importance of fan support.
AFFA further explained that the tournament's visual identity draws inspiration from the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Traditional decorative tiles and mosaic designs have been reinterpreted through modern patterns and visual elements designed to appeal to younger audiences.
The colour scheme features vibrant shades of turquoise, green, purple and red, enhanced by dynamic gradients and transitions. These elements combine to create a contemporary visual identity that brings the two host nations together under a unified tournament brand.
