China's Foreign Ministry announced on Monday, November 2, 2026, that a special government envoy is scheduled to visit Iran, Oman and Saudi Arabia within the next two weeks.

The ministry said the tour forms part of Beijing's diplomatic efforts to expand communication channels with regional countries, strengthen dialogue and encourage measures to ease mounting tensions.

The planned visits come as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East and the Gulf, amid concerns that the conflict could spread further, threatening regional security and the safety of key maritime routes.

Beijing hopes to use its diplomatic engagement to bring regional parties closer together, encourage negotiations and promote political solutions to existing disputes, in an effort to prevent further escalation.
