The British Museum in London is showcasing a new exhibition tracing 2,000 years of Korean art and culture, from the Iron Age to the work of contemporary artists.

The exhibition features objects dating back to around 400 BC, Buddhist artworks, Goryeo celadon ceramics and modern pieces, including a sculpture by South Korean artist Yeesookyung made from discarded ceramic fragments.

The exhibition highlights Korea’s long artistic heritage beyond its internationally popular music and television culture.
