Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani has ordered the allocation of land across the governorate’s administrative districts for the establishment of football pitches, with each site covering at least four dunams and meeting the dimensions required for 11-a-side matches.
The directive was issued through an official letter from the Planning Department at the Basra Governorate Office, instructing Basra Municipality and other municipal authorities to coordinate with administrative unit heads to identify suitable locations and secure the necessary land. The Planning and Resource Management Division has been tasked with monitoring the implementation of the directive.
