Yemeni government forces said on Thursday they had repelled a major Houthi assault on several fronts along the Tur Al-Baha axis in Lahj province, reporting that all the attackers were killed during the clashes.
In Taiz province, government forces said they carried out six airstrikes targeting Houthi positions and gatherings in the Al-Akboush area and on fronts in Hayfan district, southeast of the province.
The developments followed a government announcement on Wednesday that eight military operations had targeted Houthi movements, reinforcements, weapons and equipment. Taiz fronts also witnessed clashes, artillery fire and airstrikes, amid reports of continued Houthi reinforcements and intensified attacks in the area.
