WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is testing a new Android feature that can convert spoken words into written messages without requiring an internet connection.
The feature allows users to simply dictate what they want to send, with WhatsApp processing their speech and turning it into text rather than delivering a voice recording to the recipient.
The new tool is designed to make messaging more convenient, particularly for recipients who prefer reading messages instead of listening to voice recordings. An internet connection will still be necessary to send the converted text message to the recipient.
