The Security Media Cell reported on Saturday that a thermal camera belonging to the Commando Brigade of the Kirkuk Operations Command was targeted by gunfire from an unidentified source in the Nineveh Operations Command sector.
The incident took place in rugged terrain overlooking the Zab River, damaging the camera but causing no casualties. Security forces launched an extensive search operation in the area to identify and track down those responsible for the shooting
