Head of the Security Media Directorate, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, affirmed that Iraqi security forces are fully prepared to take over security responsibilities on September 30, dismissing claims that they lack the capacity to assume the task.
Maan warned that the period leading up to the date could witness attempts to fuel disputes, tensions and divisions in an effort to distract public attention, stressing the importance of security and media awareness in confronting such developments.
He added that Iraqi security forces continue to strengthen their capabilities and have the necessary readiness and resources to assume the security file as scheduled.
