Qatar’s Foreign Ministry stressed that the region’s ongoing crises should be addressed through dialogue and negotiations rather than military escalation. Doha also rejected the closure of waterways and reaffirmed its support for reaching an understanding over the Strait of Hormuz while safeguarding freedom of navigation.
The ministry said Qatar continues to coordinate with international partners to help contain the crisis, urging the international community to act collectively to prevent serious consequences that could extend beyond the region, particularly as developments surrounding the Strait of Hormuz could affect global shipping and the wider economy.
