Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah, currently playing for Turkish side Trabzonspor, has been handed a six-month driving ban in the UK following a case involving a Rolls-Royce registered in his name.

According to The Sun, a mobile speed camera detected the vehicle exceeding the legal speed limit in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in March 2026. Salah reportedly failed to provide the authorities with the identity of the person who was driving the car.

A court in Warrington convicted the player in his absence after he failed to attend two scheduled hearings. In addition to the driving suspension, he was ordered to pay a fine.

The incident reportedly occurred two days after Salah announced his unexpected departure from Liverpool.

The Egyptian star has previously faced other traffic-related offences. In 2022, he was fined and given three penalty points after being caught speeding in a Ferrari F8 Tributo. In 2018, he was also seen using a mobile phone while driving near Liverpool’s Anfield stadium, although no prosecution followed due to insufficient evidence.
