The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, signed a regional decree on Wednesday promoting 519 officers from the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces at the Ministry of Interior.
According to a statement from the Kurdistan Region Presidency, the decree was issued pursuant to the Kurdistan Region Presidency Law and other applicable regulations, granting eligible officers their deserved ranks. The decision takes effect immediately as of its issuance date on September 9.
