Two Palestinians were killed and 13 others wounded on Sunday when an Israeli airstrike struck a vehicle in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood west of Gaza City, medics said.
Video footage circulating online showed the targeted vehicle heavily destroyed, while medics appealed to residents for assistance in identifying the two victims following the powerful blast.
The Israeli military said the strike targeted two Hamas members, but provided no further details about the operation.
The incident comes despite the ceasefire reached in October 2025 with U.S. backing, which halted major combat operations in Gaza but did not prevent continued Israeli airstrikes, as efforts to reach a lasting end to the war remain stalled.
