Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received Interior Ministry Senior Deputy Hussein Al-Awadi at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad on Tuesday to discuss the latest security developments and ways to improve the ministry’s performance.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed plans aimed at advancing security operations. President Amedi stressed the need to modernize working methods, strengthen preparedness and enhance coordination among relevant institutions to ensure an effective response to evolving security challenges.
The president also praised the Interior Ministry’s role in protecting citizens and maintaining security and stability, while commending its efforts to provide services, process official transactions and facilitate procedures for the public.
Al-Awadi, meanwhile, briefed the president on the ministry’s current work and its key programs and plans for the upcoming period, reaffirming efforts to improve performance and modernize work mechanisms in line with the requirements of the next phase.
