Gold prices across Baghdad and Erbil remained unchanged during Sunday's morning trading, even as the US dollar recorded a further increase against the Iraqi dinar.
In Baghdad's wholesale market on Al-Nahr Street, 21-karat Gulf, Turkish and European gold was priced at 960,000 dinars per mithqal for selling and 956,000 dinars for buying, maintaining the same levels recorded on Saturday.
Locally produced 21-karat gold, meanwhile, reached 930,000 dinars per mithqal for selling, while its buying price stood at 926,000 dinars.
At jewelry shops, Gulf gold prices ranged between 960,000 and 970,000 dinars per mithqal, compared with 930,000 to 940,000 dinars for Iraqi gold.
In Erbil, 22-karat gold was valued at 1,019,000 dinars, while 21-karat gold reached 974,000 dinars and 18-karat gold stood at 834,000 dinars.
Meanwhile, the US dollar climbed to 168,600 dinars per $100 at Baghdad's Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges, up from 168,300 dinars on Saturday.
Local gold prices continue to reflect movements in international bullion markets alongside fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate.
