Iraq is seeking a higher oil production ceiling under the OPEC+ agreement for 2027 as Baghdad looks to capitalize on its production capacity and strengthen government revenues.
The Oil Ministry said production increased in October, noting that the country's sustainable production capacity exceeds its current quota of 4.431 million barrels per day. Any adjustment, however, will depend on an agreement among OPEC+ members and global market conditions.
