Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi met with Rwandan Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva on Tuesday in New York to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the talks covered several areas of mutual interest, particularly economic and trade cooperation, as well as ways to expand investment opportunities and promote shared interests between Iraq and Rwanda.
Al-Zaidi highlighted the importance of drawing on Rwanda’s experience in human resources development. He also said the Iraqi government is pursuing reform-oriented policies focused on combating corruption, advancing economic reforms, and promoting integrity and transparency, with the aim of improving public services and creating a more suitable environment for investment.
For his part, the Rwandan Prime Minister stressed the importance of further developing relations with Iraq and expressed Rwanda’s readiness to expand cooperation in economic development, human resources, investment, and infrastructure.
