The seventh edition of HITEX 2026, Iraq’s major technology and innovation exhibition, opened in Erbil on Tuesday, bringing together more than 150 companies and around 30 startups, with artificial intelligence, robotics and drones among the event’s main highlights.
Running through October 9, the exhibition features technologies spanning digital administration, telecommunications, banking, healthcare and transportation, as well as solutions designed for rescue operations, firefighting and mine detection.
Organizers expect more than 50,000 visitors, with the event providing a platform for Iraqi and international technology companies to showcase innovations and develop new business partnerships.
