Gold prices recovered during Tuesday’s trading after the precious metal hit its lowest level since August 5 in the previous session, as investors turned their attention to upcoming U.S. economic data for indications about the Federal Reserve’s future interest-rate policy.

Spot gold climbed 1.1% to around $4,158 an ounce, while U.S. gold futures advanced approximately 0.5% to $4,190.

Despite the recovery, gold continues to face pressure from elevated bond yields and expectations that interest rates may remain higher for an extended period. Investors are closely watching upcoming U.S. inflation and employment figures for further clues on the direction of monetary policy.
